Gol D. Roger did NOT have a DF [Proof]

So a few days ago Lyonex created a thread about if Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King had a Devil's Fruit.
He did not. It was not told directly in the manga but we can see that it is true from the manga pages given below.

We know that Buggy and Shanks were a part of the Roger Pirates, of whom Gol D. Roger was the Captain. And it must have taken quite a while for Roger and Rayleigh to gather a crew so big.


~Here, Shanks introduces Buggy to Devil Fruits (the bottom panel). He says they found something weird called Devil's Fruit.

Now, taking a break, think if there could be a crew who would not know that the captain of their ship was having a weird power.
Also, this tells us that they might not have been very famous Pirate crew and might not have entered Grand Line yet.
Because the GL has many people having the power of the Devil's Fruit.
And if they were a famous and dangerous crew, they must have encountered powerful Marines who would be having the power of a DF.
And this would just contradict the fact that the crew was unaware of what a DF is.

So, you must be thinking that Roger would have eaten a DF later on.

~Now let us again look at what Shanks said. He also says that 'The Captain said whoever wants to eat it, can eat it.' (top left panel)

Roger himslef says that he didn't want to eat the fruit and gives it to the crew members.
Then if you are assuming that he ate a DF later on, then why did he reject it earlier?

It is possible, remember when BB recognised Thatch's DF by the shape of it? and when Shanks crew found luffys DF they already knew that it was the gomu gomu no mi fruit before luffy ate it

yea you're right, but it doesn't change the fact about BB tho

True with most fruits that is the case. however when a DF user dies that fruit can come back later. There's a book somehwere that catalogs different types of fruits.

its nice you put the effort in but

1. roger could not have wanted to eat because he already ate one and he cant eat 2

2. you say they act like they dont know what a df is basically but being part of rogers crew do you think they could be on his ship and not at minimum have seen someone with a df power? i personally think its imposible to be on rogers ship and not have seen it with the amount of time he clashed with sengoku and garp ....gold lion shiki and whitebeard not to mention others who all had df ( not garp)

anyway i dont think roger had a df but your theory is not proof that he didnt
